The industrial revolution, that has been going on since 1784, has not stopped growing until now. The changes that occurred in the industrial revolution have not only impacted the development of technology but also have globally affected the world of education. On the other hand, we can infer that changes in the industrial revolution are also present because of innovation from the world of education. In Education 3.0, the resulting tools are used to produce an abundance of knowledge. In the era of Education 4.0, in the midst of rapid information technology, PRODUCTION OF INNOVATION becomes very important, especially for education.
The Statute of Universitas Gadjah Mada mandates to always improve the quality and relevance of higher education at UGM that is responsive and adaptive to the development of knowledge, technology and other relevant advances in solving the nation’s problems.
Almost every field has utilized Information Technology as a medium of its activity. The World of Higher Education has also utilized Information Technology for the expansion of knowledge dissemination. UGM needs to anticipate rapid changes in national and global scale that affect the social, political, economic, legal, and cultural aspects of life. UGM’s contribution will be greater by enriching the dissemination method of knowledge, technology, art, and UGM’s values.
