The purpose of establishing the Center for Innovation and Academic Studies (PIKA) are:
- As a “think tank” to support / assist the University Leaders in formulating innovations and evidence-based academic studies to realize the mandate, vision and mission of Universitas Gadjah Mada in an integrated manner under the coordination of the Rector and Vice Rectors;
- Support / assist the Rector in developing academic innovation and implementation strategy;
- Developing learning methods, evaluation systems, media utilization and learning resources, and implementation strategies;
- Coordinate with related units for the development and implementation of academic innovation;
- Monitoring and evaluation of academic innovation and development of learning method, evaluation system, and utilization of media and learning resources;
- Provide consultation to units for the development and implementation of learning methods, evaluation systems, and feedback mechanisms;
- Assist in evaluating, synchronizing, and refining policies to support the implementation of innovation and academic policies; and
- Synergize various academic policies.
